This is a senior member of the regional operations function, reporting to the VP of Finance and Operations.  You will be responsible for multifunctional roles from overseeing the inbound and the buy to managing the integrated processes within the business and third-party partners.


Comfortable working in a dynamic, ever changing environment you will need to have genuine gravitas and strong stakeholder engagements skills. Able to influence, challenge, educate and shape decision making.


Your proven experience of business partnering will enable you to be pragmatic and creative in your approach, building rapport, and delivering insights and added value.  You will need to work closely with Customer Operations, 3PLs, International Supply Chain partners and Commercial Teams based in North America and other Pentland offices.  Other stakeholders include Finance and Pentland Brands Global Supply Chain.


Managing a team of 5, which includes the Senior Supply Chain Specialist, Supply Chain Specialist, Business Process Owner, Business Applications & Integration Analyst and an Operations Analyst.


Inventory Management


  • Accountable for the accuracy of systematic and physical inventory at the 3PLs
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators with the 3PLs  ( e.g. dock-to-stock, inventory turns, forecast accuracy, on-time in full shipments)
  • Collaborate with Commercial and Finance on channel and product segmentation to support supply and demand planning 
  • Strategically work with Commercial and Product on SKU rationalization and life cycle management to maintain lean inventory
  • Manage the quality and quantity claims with factories


Buy Process


  • Oversee the buying process every season  
  • Build alignment with Finance on go-to-market forecast and with commercial on inventory phasing
  • Monitor the purchase of 3PL consumables




  • Accountable for the import and trade compliance
  • Lead the selection, evaluation and management of 3rd party suppliers
  • Manage and analyze freight and duty spend and find ways to reduce cost and improve services
  • Ensure supply chain visibility to downstream partners


Data and Systems


  • Oversee technical build and EDI interfaces with the customers on SAP, ensure data issues are identified and resolved, thereby limiting chargebacks
  • Responsible for the material and financial master data accuracy in SAP
  • Ensure proper development and smooth implementation of business solutions
  • Promote enhancement of tools, uphold automation and advocate continuous process improvement
  • Oversee technical and business issues to avoid customer chargebacks and reduce impact to business
  • Project work that is related to Supply Chain (as applicable)



What you need to have


  • 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain or Logistics 
  • Experience on apparel or footwear supply chain is desirable
  • Domain experience related to SAP or similar ERP with functional knowledge of Supply chain, Customer Operations or Finance 
  • Advanced analytical skills
  • Highly capable of leading a team, nurturing talent and addressing development challenges 
  • Experience of working across cultures and time zones and influencing across organisational and national boundaries
  • Experience of working with external suppliers such as freight forwarders and 3PLs
  • Worked on process improvement, cost-saving and systems/business applications projects
