At Pentland Brands we are increasingly looking to work more strategically with the worlds winning retailers.  As called out in our OGSM, our strategic customers offer all of our brands the opportunity to get our propositions in front of consumers so they can see, buy & love them.

 

To enable us to grow faster we need to deliver greater insight from data that supports our commercial and supply teams to make more informed decisions, increase efficiencies and support the delivery of our commercial plans.

 

This role will allow us to continue to build a greater understanding of our customers’ needs, how our consumers engage with and shop our brands, how we can be more efficient as Pentland and in turn build long term, sustainable and profitable business that enables us to grow faster with these winning retailers.

 

Key purpose of the role:

 

This role will support the efficient delivery of our commercial plans through ownership of our strategic customer data & insight, management of master data, supporting in financial reporting and working with both the customer and the commercial teams to identify risks and opportunities and supporting action plans,.

 

  • Accountability for weekly, monthly and ad hoc reporting for our strategic customers and issue to relevant distribution lists, covering commercial, financial and operational metrics
  • Work with our customer internal resource to ensure the consistent delivery of performance data across sales, operations and on site metrics and support actions to drive performance of key KPI’s
  • Responsible for master data set up and ongoing data management support through consolidation and collation of data sources and completion of key customer data requirements.  Work with IT and the other team analyst to continuously improve the accuracy and processing.
  • Work with Account managers to regularly review the needs of the team and customer and what data and reporting can be set up or utilised in order to support this and further driver our business
  • In depth reviews of product performance to support seasonal sell ins and core programmes
  • Liaising with demand planners to ensure consistency of messaging and accurate forecasting
  • Tracking and evaluation of the effectiveness of promotional activity on site

 

  • Play an active role in shaping the delivery of our future data strategy.

  • Proven track record of managing data
  • Ability to build reports and extract insight from data
  • Strong Influencing skills – ability to influence internally and externally
  • Ability to analyse data and spot trends
  • Commercial acumen
  • Ability to work in a multi-functional team & work in a matrix environment.
  • Strong communication skills both internally & externally.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills are required.
  • Prepared to travel
