Responsibilities

As CR Manager you will:

 

  • Contribute to the delivery of Pentland’s ethical trade programme in our direct and licensed supply chains, including management of the factory assessment and improvement process, risk based due diligence, and delivery of appropriate actions remedying human rights impacts
  • Identifiy, design, and deliver ethical trade projects in line with our strategic goals.
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of Pentland’s corporate responsibility strategy and processes to maximise our potential to positively impact working conditions in our own supply chain, adapt to changing risks and opportunities, and play a meaningful role in wider industry initiatives
  • Work with sourcing and CR colleagues to map our supply chain below tier 1. This will involve providing impetus, stakeholder engagement, conducting research, developing robust processes, standards and assessment methods, identifying risks and designing due diligence approaches.    
  • Represent Pentland in engagements with external partnerships, collaborations & stakeholders, including the ETI, Better Work, FOA Indonesia Protocol, ACT Living Wages Foundation, SAC and WFSGI
  • Engage Pentland employees to ensure they understand our ethical trade programme and why it is important, and have the knowledge and skills they need to contribute to the delivery of our strategy and business standards

Qualifications

 

                         What you need to have 

  • Significant experience in operational ethical trade management
  • Experience of working for a brand or retailer
  • Excellent understanding of global product sourcing and supply chains, ideally relating to apparel, footwear and textiles
  • System management experience
  • Project management experience
  • Experience of statistical analysis
  • A willingness to continually improve
  • A proven track record of successful stakeholder engagement at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Good presentation skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PPT)

Nice to have

  • IRCA recognised social auditor certification, ideally SA8000 advanced level (an advantage)
