Key Purpose of Job:


Provides analysis and insight to the Head of Finance/Finance Director and Senior Business Partners to support the development and delivery of divisional and brand Plans. Analyses performance across the division in key areas, to support the Head of Finance and Business Partners in driving improvements in performance throughout the division.


Responsibilities

  • Support Head of Finance – Active, to ensure timely, accurate and action-orientated reporting to Active Exec to enable delivery of OP and SBP targets.
  • Help coordinate and get alignment to divisional forecasts and budgets working with FPA, central analysis pool, management accounting, commercial finance and brand business partners.
  • Help provide clear commentary and explanations of results, accurate capture of risks and opportunities and action-orientated tracking of divisional and brand OGSMs.
  • Coordinate with central analyst pool and brand business partners to deliver divisional level reporting and processes to influence:
    • Marketing spend analysis and tracking and initiative evaluation and portfolio assessment.
    • Standardised product KPI’s throughout the division to track performance at key gateways and influence the future direction of the Product Strategy.
    • Tracking sourcing savings, providing information to key stakeholders to influence the decisions to reinvest or take savings to the bottom line.
    • Delivered margin forecasting and actuals analysis with indicated actions
  • Ad hoc analysis to support Head of Finance – Active. 

 

Needs to have

 

  • Accountancy Qualifications (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA)
  • Experience in developing business strategy and financial modelling
  • Successfully demonstrated experience of Business Partnering at a senior level
  • Experience in interpreting monthly reporting to a high standard, including the ability to understand key information which drives business performance and interpret this to senior decision makers influencing their decisions to improve results
  • Previous experience of P&L ownership and planning
  • Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure a very high standard of information integrity
  • Solid, well-rounded understanding of the key business drivers; you are a strategic and commercial thinker and have demonstrated a desire to translate business strategy into finance strategy
  • Worked to build networks outside the business and actively seek to bring the outside in
  • Willing to challenge and you don’t accept status-quo, which means sometimes you take unpopular decisions with the business’ best interests in mind
  • Great at stakeholder management; you build strong relationships and have a collaborative approach
  • Strong communication; you communicate well with all levels of the business and are able to simplify and clearly present financial information to customers and colleagues
