Key Purpose of the Job:

 

 

The role is to find, open and manage independent accounts for Ted Baker. The role will include Zappos and Lord and Taylor as well.

 

 

Needs to Do:

  • Develop a coordinated sales strategy & business plan to build a sustainable business in the US marketplace while delivering sales & profitability in line with agreed annual and long-term targets.
  • Analyse weekly sell through, manage open to buy, monitor markdowns, and provide replenishment suggestions based upon stock levels.
  • Conduct Product Knowledge Seminars and liaison with marketing on staff incentive contests, stock room signage, and events.
  • Grow current independent account base within territory across both genders.
  • Be in the know of the market/ industry, particularly direct competitors with our assigned key accounts
  • Communicate clearly and frequently to line manager and other relevant departments on key activities, successes, issues and opportunities
  • Liaise with all customer service within NOSL and Pentland, ensuring effective internal communication
  1. Customer service team, ensuring high service level
  2. Credit/Finance team, to ensure speedy resolution of any payment issues.
  • To help promote and positively develop Pentland Brands PLC, No Ordinary Shoes and Ted Baker image at all times. 

 

 

                         What you need to have

 

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5-7 years of related experience
  • Footwear experience required (existing relationships with key majors & independents preferred)
  • Strong presentation skills and confidence to pioneer a start-up business
  • Strong understanding of retail math
  • Experienced sales & negotiating skills
  • Ability to perform complex verbal and written communications face-to-face and in group settings
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and ability to problem solve
  • Proficient computer skills. MS PPT/Excel/Word.

Desirable:

  • Fashion/lifestyle footwear brand experience
  • Degree level education
  • Experience with SAP
