Key Purpose of Job:


The Brand Business Development Assistant will be part of the Lifestyle Division with a strong focus on Ted Baker and Boxfresh.  The purpose of the role is to support our international partners and the international sales team by increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of our sales and administrative processes.




  • Support International sales team with the sales process from beginning to end through the provision of assets and communication with partners/ customers. This process will include, amongst others: communication of key dates, sharing of catalogues & price lists, supporting with sales appointment preparation, cancellations & swaps, non-buy process, etc
  • Work closely with product team to ensure distributor samples are delivered on time and with all relevant documentation needed for import
  • Manage the preparation of order books, customer information, pricelists prior to sales appointments
  • Build on confidence and sales experience to be able to support sales team during appointments
  • Actively search for new, suitable International retail accounts
  • Organisation of European sales tradeshows


Account Management


  • Working closely with Customer Services rep to ensure world class service to partners/ customers
  • Regular weekly meetings with both customer service & supply chain team to ensure customer deliveries are closely monitored and information/ updates communicated back to customer
  • Send order confirmations out to customers, following up any issues that arise
  • Pull together and send out on a weekly basis the stock report to drive in season business




  • Develop a broad based knowledge of all markets within remit ensuring a complete understanding of all local factors and trends that may affect the distribution of product
  • Feed international requirements back into product, marketing and supply chain teams



What you need to have


  • Desire to develop career in a sales environment
  • Minimum of a 2:1 University degree or equivalent
  • General footwear/apparel product knowledge desirable
  • Knowledge of economic and social trends in international markets
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Proficiency in PC skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience working in a corporate environment
  • Moderate level of financial understanding (margins, discounts, debtor days, royalties) and willingness to learn
  • Additional language skills would be of advantage
