    Your role will be to support the Research & Testing Manager conduct the testing programs for all innovation (and NPD Brand projects where relevant) to ensure that we have capacity to carry out appropriate tests at the right time to benefit the project in line with the Innovation and Brand plans

     

    This role is a fixed term contract until 31/8/2019

     

    • Captures and translates data from testing plans into meaningful results.
    • Supports in creating validation cases for any technical or performance claims Brands wish to make for product features and benefits.
    • Supports running "basic" test programmes to evaluate product performance.
    • Organising subjects for research and testing
    • Organising equipment and apparel for research and testing
    • Support organise worldwide research and testing with international sports marketing teams
    • Help develop Research & Innovation methodologies
    • Help run and collect data from Research & Innovation sessions, including focus groups, interviews, ethnography and ideation / brainstorming workshops
    • Create state of the art documents containing trends and literature reviews to aid define project objectives and provide comparative benchmarking material.
    • Help collate and analyse test results.
    • Help develop testing & validation methodologies.
    • Help run test & validation sessions, including lab and field based testing.
    • Data collection through quantitative and qualitative approaches.
    • Help analyse test & validation results with basic statistics.

     

     

                             What you need to have

     

    • Study for Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sports Science/Technology or a similar degree
    • Passion for leading edge scientific research within sportswear similar industry
    • Understanding of multiple research testing activities.
    • Understanding of testing protocols dependent on the test objectives and conditions.
    • Passion for working with innovation, technology and science experts.
    • Experience in working with consumers and end users
    • Understanding of sports technology, human physiology / biomechanics, human factors and usability standards.
    • Understanding of various material properties, product construction / manufacture constraints and digital technologies (power consumption, thermal qualities, motion detection, etc)
    • Interest in research, testing and design methodologies appropriate to Outdoor, Swim or Team Sport and other comparable activities.
    • Familiarity of multiple research testing disciplines from ethnography to group facilitation and presentation of research data to users, peers and senior level audiences.
    • Proven ability to produce clear and concise test reports
    • Experience in application of computer programs to an appropriate level for the purpose of creativity, data management, presentation, report writing and communication.
