    Key Purpose of Job:


    The co-ordinated planning and management of digital projects, including BAU (business as usual) across our portfolio of brands, that together achieves the digital ambitions of Pentland Brands



    • Defines, manages and realises the strategic benefits of the programme as a whole
    • Responsible for ensuring successful delivery of the programme of projects and activities
    • Manages interdependencies between projects and BAU activities.
    • Takes a total programme view/manages together to deliver the desired strategic benefit.
    • Manage resources available and resource conflicts
    • Manages risks issues and charges at a programme level.
    • Make connections between data and requests leading to recommendations to manage successful delivery of the entire programme. May accelerate, decelerate, redefine, terminate and initiate projects within the programme.
    • Works with multiple teams to establish clear governance, ways of working and authority process to manage the programme effectively.
    • Develops tolerances for stages, and exception plans to mitigate.
    • Ensures risks with business case are identified, assessed and controlled.
    • Manages change process.
    • Full financial tracking and visibility of all work streams and brands. Actual v forecast on costs and returns/benefits.
    • Ensure robust business case applied to all work streams, is monitored and achieved
    • Uses portfolio thinking; business cases, prioritisation, returns given resource, continuing monitoring and adjustments to hit timings, capacity bottlenecks, limited resources and risk v returns.
    • Stakeholder management across the business with key interfaces at all levels.
    • Works closely with Digital Experience, Production Studio, Product Teams, Technical and Product Managers to deliver as a whole.
    • Single view of all work streams, at any one time – including status, costs, and projected revenue & profit.
    • Drives correct decision making and trade-offs with the wider business
    • Keeps digital linked, and anchored with wider business initiatives both long term and short term/reactive
    • Controls and refines ways of working for maximum efficiency and visibility



                             What you need to have


    • Takes initiative, and uses sound judgment, taking user, business(financial/strategic) and people into account in making recommendations
    • Ability to develop robust business cases, using consumer, market and financial rigour.
    • Communication skills at all levels – board, external, functional experts with an ability to tie information together interpreting what that means for relevant parties. 
    • Consistently inspires trust from others.
    • Evidence of delivering programmes to time and budget
    • Strong relationship emphasis, drives results through others.
    • Use of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

                        What we need to see in you


    • Commercially minded, with strong business acumen and broad experience working with different programmes, potentially different industries/functions.
    • Fluent in running programmes, with successful results.  Demonstrated start to end success – having remained true to original business cases
    • Able to present clearly and succinctly in order to get to crux of situation and swift resolution.
    • Able to adapt quickly to an ever-changing landscape
    • Assertive style, with a track record of holding teams to account on non or poor delivery,
    • Well-developed influencing and negotiating skills.
