    This role is an opportunity for a senior leader to help Pentland Brands continue to drive and evolve its CR strategy across the business.  Pentland Brands are looking for a forward-thinking and proactive individual to lead the global CR team set a clear scope and deliver an agenda for CR that builds and protects the business and ensures we continue on our path as a responsible business.  This role will work in close co-operation with the Supply Chain Directors, legal team and a wide network of stakeholders from across the business to ensure corporate responsibility is integrated into how we do business.



    • Innovating and developing CR capabilities and infrastructure to create the integrated CR function needed to support Pentland’s global ambitions and growth targets.

    • Part of the Supply Chain devt leadership team ensuring that join ups are created informing priorities, impact, investment and strategies

    • Responsible for our CR strategy, making sure that the team and business are fully engaged in our direction of travel and understand their responsibilities to deliver against it.

    • Responsible for the creation of our CR centre of excellence that will develop and sustain consistent processes that will drive tangible value into divisional operations, complete with global standards and policies where relevant. Working via our matrix to engage the business on this work to ensure they will meet business requirements. .

    • Lead the global CR team in delivering the strategy, annual work plans in line with the business strategy and in resolving issues that arise from our operations. Establish the team by using High Performing team principles.

    • Establish Pentland’s reputation externally by working with industry bodies and NGOs to further Pentland priorities.

    • Define a CR communications strategy, to publicize the work we do and to help to engage the business in Cr risks and opportunities.

    • Oversee the production and publication of external reports such as ETI, Modern Slavery, UNGC.

    • Development of the CR scorecard, with standard measures and KPIs that will be used to identify opportunities, improve service and create agility. Use external benchmarking to identify Best in class targets for goal setting.



    What you need to have

    • The successful candidate will have experience of working within a Global or European Head Office.

    • Experience of managing CR in an international / global business, which has complex distribution processes and long lead times.

    • Proven experience of setting up functions and / or change management within their function.

    • Gained experience of working in a multicultural and multilingual business.

    • Demonstrable people leadership skills.

    • The successful candidate will have a high degree of commercial awareness, and be analytical and a good interpreter of information.

    • Strategic and financial acumen, balanced with a dedicated service ethic and be driven to grow shareholder value.

    • Strong influencing skills, with the ability to balance strategic and operational activities.

    • The individual will have a real presence, with the ability to command immediate respect from all parties and partners.

    • Experience of operating in a global Footwear environment preferable but not essential
