    Key purpose of the role:


    The Category Assistant will support all the teams by owning the product approvals for our key licensee’s as well as the maintenance of seasonal documents used cross functionally to understand the development of the range.  You will pro-actively provide research to support new commercial product opportunities whilst assisting the Head of Category with both the day to day running of the team and ongoing Category projects.

    Main Duties and Responsibilities:


    Line plan Maintenance

    • Facilitate updates to the Seasonal Visual Line plan and Product matrix across all Categories.
    • Attend Seasonal Line reviews to capture notes and changes to the line plan and update in accordance with the Head of Category/Category Managers
    • Ensure the timely update of all range and line lists

    Working Showrooms / Sample Management

    • Assist the Category team with maintenance of working showrooms ensuring the correct samples are displayed and showroom storage is managed with the relevant seasonal sample ranges.
    • Partner with Development to ensure all samples are requested, received, distributed and organised accordingly.
    • Prepare working showrooms with the correct samples and printed visual line plans
    • Research
    • In conjunction with the Category Managers, provide research and reports on competitor brands, price point setting, consumer footwear trends and innovation utilizing our subscription to WGSN, globally relevant online retail channels and local retail execution.
    • Where needed source visuals and supporting data for the new creation briefs seasonally.

    Catalogue Content / Marketing Assets

    • Review re-touching notes for catalogue visuals in accordance with the PLM’s and make recommendations or changes accordingly.

                             What you need to have

    • 6+ months experience in an office environment.
    • Moderate Office Suite skills, including Excel and PowerPoint. 
    • Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop skills are an advantage.
    • The candidate must be able to demonstrate they have or can learn further Office and Adobe platforms.
    • Basic numeracy skills (% / analysis).
