    Key Purpose of Job:


    To ensure the timely delivery customer trade pricing across the Active Brands (Speedo, Berghaus, Canterbury and Mitre). Management of customer pricing financial models from SRP to customer trade prices.  Liaising with product team to understand the range hierarchy, customer Operations team to ensure timely production of customer order forms, and Master Data team to ensure timely upload of prices into SAP. Provide a sense check of customer margins, performing margin modelling as required, and answer ad hoc pricing queries. 


    • Management of customer trade pricing model across all Active brands, to create pricing based on the twice-yearly seasonal range. This primary responsibility requires ownership of the spreadsheet model, ensuring formulas work as desired, and any changes to mark ups or discounts instructed by customer or brand finance are implemented. Customer specific margin review, and highlighting any issues are required.
    • Special Make Up pricing; provide support to the Sales & Planning team, and product team throughout year on specific customer pricing as requested.
    • Calculate Sample pricing for each range inline with desired timeframes.
    • Provide necessary details to customer operations and MDM teams to allow orderform creation and SAP pricing loads for each of the seasonal ranges for all brands.
    • Review pricing process across Active brands, highlighting and implementing efficiency and simplification recommendations.
    • Ad hoc pricing query support requests from product teams, customer finance teams, brand finance.
    • Work with Pentland shipping team to ensure Duty & freight conditions used in pricing models are accurate and updated annually.
    • Support with project work on brand pricing models, trade terms structures, providing pricing and margin modelling as required.
    • Support the product team with Competitor benchmarking, and reviews of brand market positioning
    • Support the Consumer Insight Analysts with getting SRP information into the reporting system to allow fuller reporting on range performance by pricing hierarchy.
    • Produce monthly Gross to net margin analysis for the brands, providing insight into the main margin drivers by volume and value, and key insight into margin builders or erosion.



               Needs to have

    • Financial acumen; experience in analyst roles, with proven ability to review and highlight margin challenges
    • High level spreadsheet skills to manage financial model, & review outputs
    • An analytical approach, and be thorough with high attention to detail
    • Systems experience; SAP useful but no essential (support MDM load)
